Fire Safety Presentations

The Fire Department offers free education to the public via presentations, print material, and social media. Throughout the year the Fire Department receives several requests for educational presentations. These presentations include, but are not limited to, extinguisher demonstrations/training and fire safety/building evacuation training.

The Fire Department also participates in Fire Prevention week at McAuliffe Elementary. During Fire Prevention Week members from the Fire Department speak to the children of each grade and reinforce the importance of such things as checking smoke detectors, stop drop and roll, having a safe meeting place, designing and practicing a home evacuation plan, what to do in the event of an emergency, and knowing what they can play with and what should be left for adults.

Please visit http://www.sparky.org/ for great activities and teaching tools for children.

If you have questions or would like to request a presentation please call us at 884-1077.
