Drug Take Back Initiative
On April 29, 2017 the Wisconsin Department of Justice (DOJ) in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA, Brown County Sheriff’s Office and the Village of Bellevue, will coordinate a Prescription Drug Take Back Initiative. The focus is on removing potentially dangerous pharmaceutical substances from our state's medicine cabinets and preventing them from going into our water supply.
When: Saturday, April 29th (9:30AM – 1:30PM)
Where: Bellevue Village Hall (3100 Eaton Rd.)
Bring: Prescription (controlled and non-controlled) and over-the-counter medications, ointments, inhalers, patches, non-aerosol sprays, creams, vials and pet medications. Liquids without the original packaging will not be accepted.
*Medications will be removed from their containers and the plastic pill bottles will be placed in a recycling bin.*
Do Not Bring: Illegal drugs, needles/sharps, mercury thermometers, aerosol cans, bio-hazardous materials (anything containing a bodily fluid or blood), flares, personal care products (shampoo, soaps, lotions, sunscreens, etc...), household hazardous waste (paint, pesticides, chemicals, oil, or gas) or acid.
